What is Global Hack Week?
Global Hack Week takes place throughout the year to give you a chance to complete technical challenges, network with the community, enjoy fun live sessions, build technical projects, and make new memories.
We'll have challenges, live technical sessions with MLHers, mini-events galore, and some cool content from our partners! Here’s a sneak peek:

Each GHW features a new theme, and this September we'll offer workshops, technical sessions, and more focused on Web3!
Who is GHW for?
Global Hack Week is for anyone ready to level-up their hacking skills. We welcome all programmers, designers, artists, and hackers from around the globe to join us for these events. Whether this is is day 1 or day 1000 of your hacker journey, we want you to join us!
Can I get swag at this event?
Yes, of course! Each Global Hack Week will feature some amazing 2023 Hackathon Season swag…you’ll have to participate to find out exactly what you’re getting!
Who organized Global Hack Week?
Global Hack Week is organized by Major League Hacking (MLH). It is our mission to empower hackers worldwide by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Requirements
Your challenge submission must be completed within the submission period.
When relevent, your code must be available in some sort of public repository.
If you're continuing work on an old project, you MUST specify in your Devpost what was worked on 1) Before this day of Global Hack Week and 2) During this day of Global Hack Week.
Prizes
Set up a Circle Programmable Wallet
Sign up for a Circle Web3 Services Console account and follow along with the programmable wallet tutorial! Submit your project to hackp.ac/DailyDevpost.
Voting System
Develop a secure voting system on the blockchain that allows users to cast votes. Submit your app to us at hackp.ac/DailyDevpost.
Non-Fungible Token (NFT) Creation
Create your own NFT using a platform like OpenSea or Rarible. Design unique artwork or virtual items and mint them as NFTs. Explore the possibilities of NFT ownership and token metadata.
Web3 Gaming
Develop a blockchain-based game that incorporates NFTs, decentralized ownership, or in-game economies using smart contracts. Submit your app on hackp.ac/DailyDevpost.
Blockchain Transaction Simulation
Challenge participants to create a simplified simulation of blockchain transactions. Participants should design a program that mimics the process of creating transactions, adding them to blocks, and validating them using basic consensus mechanisms like proof-of-work or proof-of-stake.
Web3 Marketplace
Create a website that allows users to buy and sell goods using cryptocurrency.
Get Started with the Hedera Blockchain
Transferring digital assets is incredibly easy with Hedera. Get started by building your first Hedera DAPP using our step by step guide! You'll learn how to set up a testnet account, how to programmatically generate accounts, and transfer funds into those accounts using the Hedera Blockchain.
